In the midst of ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, Thermo Fisher Scientific set out to host a holiday celebration for 800 employees—outdoors, on their campus, and within a highly compressed three-week planning window. The experience needed to feel festive and engaging, while strictly adhering to social distancing protocols and minimizing crowding.
SG3 Events moved quickly to assess the campus and develop a strategic layout that supported both safety and flow. We designed an immersive outdoor winter village, anchored by multiple distributed touchpoints—including multiple tents, food and beverage stations, staggered check-in areas, and interactive activity zones—to naturally reduce lines and encourage movement.
A curated vendor team was assembled at speed, bringing together live entertainment, holiday lighting, heated environments, and interactive experiences that maintained energy without compromising safety. Every element—from spatial planning to guest flow—was intentionally designed to create connection and celebration in a physically distanced environment.
The result was a vibrant, thoughtfully executed holiday experience that allowed the team to come together in a meaningful way, even during an unprecedented time.
Their professionalism, responsiveness, attention to detail, and ability to deliver on an incredibly tight timeline impressed us. We would 100% hire them again.
